Connecting to a Management Server

The Client connects to one Management Server at a time. When you close the Client and open it again in a later session, it attempts to connect to the same Management Server that you used in the previous session.

If you want to switch to a different Management Server, disconnect from the current server and then connect to the other server. If the Client does not show a connection to a Management Server, you will initiate one manually.

To connect to a Management Server

  1. Log on to the Client computer using an account with DCOM permissions to the Management Server.

  2. To open the Client click , click Start, point to All Programs, Opalis Software, Opalis Integration Server, and then click Opalis Integration Server Client. The Opalis Integration Server dialog opens.

  3. Click Actions and then click Connect, or click the Connect to a server icon. The Connection dialog appears.

  4. Type the name of the computer where the Management Server that you are connecting to is located and click Connect.

To disconnect from a Management Server

  • Right-click the server name in the Connections pane and click Disconnect.
