Install the Remote Trigger

Applies To: Opalis 6.3

The Remote Trigger is a component that can be installed on any remote computer where you need to trigger an Opalis policy.

To install the Remote Trigger

  1. Download the applicable files listed in the "Remote Trigger" section of the Opalis System Requirements.

  2. Install Java SE 6.

  3. Update the PATH environment variable to point to the bin folder of the Java SE 6 installation.

  4. Open the OpalisIntegrationServer_RemoteTrigger.msi file. This file is included in the RemoteTrigger.zip file. Click Next.

  5. Type your name and your organization’s name in the respective boxes, and then select the users who will have access to the Opalis application. Click Next. The Destination Folder dialog box appears.

  6. Click Browse to choose a different destination folder, or click Next to accept the default. The Ready to Install the Application dialog box appears.

  7. Click Next. When the wizard has finished the installation, click Finish.

  8. Install JAXB.

  9. Copy the following files from the JAXB installation to DestinationFolder\Opalis Software\RemoteTrigger\lib folder:

    • Activation.jar

    • jaxb-api.jar

    • jaxb-impl.jar

    • jsr173_1.0_api.jar

  10. Install JAX-WS.

  11. Copy the following files from the JAX-WS installation to DestinationFolder\Opalis Software\RemoteTrigger\lib folder:

    • http.jar

    • jaxws-api.jar

    • jaxws-rt.jar

    • jsr173_api.jar

    • jsr181-api.jar

    • jsr250-api.jar

    • resolver.jar

    • saaj-api.jar

    • saaj-impl.jar

    • stax-ex.jar

    • streambuffer.jar
