Endpoint type

The type of endpoint. For more information, see the following description of endpoint bindings and how they relate to the endpoint type.

Binding

Selects the binding for the endpoint. The allowable bindings are based on the Endpoint Type that you select or whether the endpoint is associated with either a claims provider or a relying party.

The following table describes the values that are supported for bindings if the endpoint is used to support the claims provider role.

URL

The URL or Web address for the endpoint.

Index

The priority ordering for the endpoint. This can be any valid integer between 0 and 65535. The index can also be used to identify the endpoint in requests.

Response URL

The URL or Web address that is used for response messages.

Default

Indicates whether the endpoint is the default endpoint for this claims provider. To set a default endpoint, select an endpoint in the list, and then click Set Default.
