Item Detail

Relying party trust identifier

Provides a space for you to type the identifier of the relying party. This text is a Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) that uniquely identifies the relying party to this Federation Service. For more information about the types of URIs that Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) 2.0 uses, see How URIs Are Used in AD FS 2.0 (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=181098).

After you type an identifier, you can click Add to add it to the list. To remove identifiers from the list, select the identifier in the list, and then click Remove.

Note
If the relying party is using AD FS 2.0, this value is the value in the Federation Service identifier field in the Federation Service Properties dialog box. For application developers, this identifier is used in the wtrealm query parameter.

If the relying party is an ADFS 1.x Web agent, the identifier is the same as the WS-Federation Passive protocol URL that was previously entered in the wizard. (See Configure URL.)

For more information, see Relying Parties.
