About This Guide

The Infrastructure Planning and Design (IPD) Guide for Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 takes the IT architect through an easy-to-follow planning and design process to successfully create a SharePoint Server infrastructure that is appropriately placed, sized, and designed to deliver the desired business benefits, while also considering the performance, capacity, and fault tolerance of the system. It addresses the scenarios most likely to be encountered by someone designing a SharePoint Server infrastructure.

The guide can help you reduce planning time and costs, and ensure a successful rollout of SharePoint Server—helping your organization to more quickly benefit from this flexible and reliable collaboration platform.
