Expand or collapse a legend section

Double-click the heading of a legend section (such as "Populated Places" or "Boundaries") to expand or collapse that section.

Click the plus sign to expand and the minus sign to collapse a section.

Notes

• If you don't want a particular section of the legend to appear on your printed map or on a map that will be saved as a Web page, simply collapse it before you print or save.

• You can also use the RIGHT ARROW and LEFT ARROW keys on your keyboard to expand and collapse legend sections. Use the UP ARROW and DOWN ARROW keys to select the heading that you want to expand or collapse. The RIGHT ARROW key expands the selected section; the LEFT ARROW key collapses it.
