Exporting a Configuration Item

This section provides instructions for exporting a configuration item.

To export a configuration item

  1. In Configuration Manager console, in the left pane, expand Site Database, expand Computer Management, expand Embedded Device Management, expand Device Configuration, and then click Configuration Items.

  2. On the Configuration Items page, right-click a configuration item, and then click Export.

  3. On the Save As page, select the configuration item XML file to export, and then click Save. For more information about XML files, see Configuration Item XML Files.
