Terminating a Deployment

5/4/2012

This section provides instructions for terminating a deployment. A deployment can only be terminated when the device imaging request has either started or been suspended, and has not expired.

Typically, when a deployment is terminated, all devices that have received a new operating system image are not reverted back to their prior operating system. The devices that haven’t received a new image are left unmodified. However, check the documentation you received from the device manufacturer about the specific device imaging solution you are deploying for detailed information about how that specific device imaging solution will respond to termination.

To terminate a deployment

  1. In Configuration Manager Console, under System Center Configuration Manager, expand Computer Management, expand Embedded Device Management, expand Device Imaging, and then click Deployments.

  2. Right-click the name of the deployment that you want to terminate, and then click Terminate.

The deployment is now listed as Terminated on the Device Imaging home page.
