Quick Start Guide for Operations Manager 2012 Beta

System Center 2012 – Operations Manager enables you to monitor services, devices, and operations for many computers in a single console. Operators can gain rapid insight into the state of the IT environment and the IT services running across different systems and workloads by using numerous views that show state, health, and performance information, as well as alerts generated for availability, performance, configuration and security situations.
Operations Manager can monitor thousands of servers, applications, and clients and provides comprehensive views of their health states. These views are key to a rapid and agile response to events that can impact the availability of services the IT department provides its customers.
What's New in Operations Manager 2012 Beta summarizes some of the new or changed functionality in Operations Manager. This information is particularly useful for those who are familiar with Operations Manager 2007.
The purpose of this Quick Start Guide is to provide a set of procedures to help you try out and evaluate new features in Operations Manager. More detailed information on these features can be found in the Operations Manager 2012 Deployment Guide and the Operations Manager 2012 Operations Guide. You can also join the Customer Experience Program to participate in a structured approach to evaluating the beta release of Operations Manager.
