Use this form to classify job functions. A job function describes one or more tasks, duties, or responsibilities that are assigned to a job. You can use job functions, together with job types, to filter compensation plans to specific jobs.

When you create a compensation plan, you can select the job functions and job types that the plan can be used with. You can also select a job function and a job type for a job to associate the job with one or more compensation plans.

You associate job functions and job types with compensation plans by setting up eligibility rules in the Eligibility rules form. You can also attach a set of levels to the compensation plan that apply to the specific job type/job function combination that you have defined through an eligibility rule. These features apply to fixed compensation plans and to variable compensation plans.
