Warning

Configuration items can only be updated or viewed on the server on which they were created.

  4. Click OK if you are finished or, in this example, select the Registry page.

  5. On the Registry page, you can update any of the following configuration item sub-types, click Apply to save your updates, and then click OK to finish:

    • Registry key: The name of the registry key.

    • Value name: The name of the registry value.

    • Data type: The data type of the value. Select a data type from the drop-down list. String value is selected by default.

    • Value: The value for the registry key.

Select this check box to associate the registry key with a 32-bit key on a 32-bit operating system and a 64-bit key on a 64-bit operating system. If the check box is not selected, the registry key is associated with a 32-bit key regardless of the operating system.

      Note

This functionality is based on Windows 32-bit On Windows 64-bit (WoW64). WoW64 is an emulation layer that enables 32-bit Windows-based applications to run seamlessly on 64-bit versions of Windows. For more information about WoW64, see Best Practices for WOW64 on Microsoft.com.
