Updated: September 1, 2011

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

You can create a project that contains all of the elements in a specific model. This can make it easier to work with the elements in the model. The project can also be used to export the contents of a model to an .xpo file.

To create a project from a model

  1. Open the Development Workspace. See How to: Open a Development Workspace for more information.

  2. Choose Tools > Model management > Create project from model.

  3. Select the model that will be used as the source of the project content.

  4. Supply the name of the new project to be created.

  5. Click OK. The project will be created that has the elements from the model.
