Applies To: System Center 2012 - Orchestrator, System Center 2012 R2 Orchestrator, System Center 2012 SP1 - Orchestrator

The Create Network Adapter activity is used to create a new network adapter and attach it to a specified virtual machine.

For the procedure to configure this activity, see Configuring the Create Network Adapter Activity.

The following tables list the properties and published data for this activity. The activity publishes all of the data from the required and optional properties into published data.

Create Virtual Network Adapter Properties

Element Description

VM ID

The unique identifier (GUID) of the virtual machine for which the network adapter is being created

Optional Properties

Element Description

MAC Address

Dynamic or Static. You can specify a Static MAC address or, to have the static address generated by the activity, choose <Static-Auto>.
