Rule Name:  Web Analytics: Verify that there is a data processing service started when there is a web service started.

Summary: If there is no data processing service started, the data that has been logged to the Web Analytics database cannot be processed.

Cause: The Web Analytics Data Processing service is stopped.

Resolution: Start the Web Analytics Data Processing service on any server in the farm.

  1. Verify that the user account that is performing this procedure is a member of the Farm Administrators group.

  2. On the Central Administration Home page, in the System Settings section, click Manage services on server.

  3. On the Services on Server page, in the Service list, find the Web Analytics Data Processing service, and then in the Action column, click Start.
