Windows PowerShell® is a task-based command-line shell and scripting language designed especially for system administration. This reference topic for the information technology (IT) professional provides assistance in utilizing the Windows PowerShell cmdlets to script and automate tasks.

Windows Data Access Components Cmdlets

This reference provides cmdlet descriptions and syntax for all Windows Data Access Components (Windows DAC) cmdlets. It lists the cmdlets in alphabetical order based on the verb at the beginning of the cmdlet.

 

Cmdlet Description

Add-OdbcDsn

Adds an ODBC DSN.

Disable-OdbcPerfCounter

Disables connection pooling Performance Monitor counters.

Disable-WdacBidTrace

Disables BidTrace for Windows DAC.

Enable-OdbcPerfCounter

Enables connection pooling Performance Monitor counters.

Enable-WdacBidTrace

Enables BidTrace for troubleshooting Windows DAC.

Get-OdbcDriver

Gets installed ODBC drivers.

Get-OdbcDsn

Gets ODBC DSNs.

Get-OdbcPerfCounter

Gets connection pooling Performance Monitor counters.

Get-WdacBidTrace

Gets BidTrace settings.

Remove-OdbcDsn

Removes ODBC DSNs.

Set-OdbcDriver

Configures the properties for installed ODBC drivers.

Set-OdbcDsn

Configures properties for existing ODBC DSNs.
