Password reset requests are one of the most common support issues for Microsoft cloud services. If you are a user and have forgotten your password, ask any administrator in your organization to reset your password for you.
If you are an administrator, you can use any of the following ways to reset your password.
-
Use the password self-reset process to reset your password. This option will only work if you have previously provided an alternate email address and a mobile phone number that can receive text messages. For more information about how to use password self-reset, see Reset your administrator password.
-
If you are one of several administrators, ask another administrator to reset your password.
-
If you are the only administrator in your organization, or if no other administrators are available, you can submit a password reset request using your service’s Service Request Wizard. If you choose this option, you will need to provide your name, phone number, and email address, so our Support team can contact you.
