  • Educational content: Take advantage of expert information about using a Microsoft cloud service.

  • Promotional offers: Be the first to receive special offers during a trial or after purchasing a Microsoft cloud service.

  • Customer research: Make your opinions count by responding to surveys and feedback sessions about the cloud service. Your feedback can help us improve our services.

  • Partner communications: Allow our valued Microsoft Partners to contact you about product-related services and events.

  • Compliance notifications: Stay updated about security, privacy, and audit requirements.

    TipTip
Using Office 365? More security and privacy information can be found on the Office 365 Trust Center.

When you first signed up as an administrator for a Microsoft cloud service, depending on the country or region of the users in your company, your users may have been automatically signed up to receive product-related information. You can use the My profile page to change how the cloud service contacts you with this information. And the Contact preferences section of the My profile page is where you can update your settings to receive different types of product information.

noteNote
You will continue to receive email messages related to your billing and service accounts even if you choose not to receive the product information available on the My profile page.

More information The following steps can be completed using either the Office 365 account portal, the Windows Intune account portal or the Windows Azure AD portal, depending on which services your organization has subscribed to. In this way, portals act as front-end interfaces that pull in directory data associated with your organizations Windows Azure AD tenant. For more information about using portals to manage your tenant, see Administering your Windows Azure AD tenant.

Use the Contact preferences section of the My profile page to update your preferred contact information.

  1. Depending on which portal you are using, in the header, click either My profile or click YourProfileName, and then click My profile.

  2. Under Contact preferences, type your preferred phone, mobile phone, or email address where you want to receive communications.

    TipTip
Using Office 365? The communications that you receive at your preferred email address are optional, so you can use any email address for this purpose, including an Office 365 email address. In contrast, the alternate email address that is listed under Information on the My profile page is used as a backup to your Office 365 email address for important notifications, including password resets. You should not use your Office 365 email address as your alternate email address.

  3. Click Save.

Use the Contact me about section of the My profile page to select the types of product-related information that you want to receive.
