On the Windows Azure Active Directory Credentials page of the Windows Azure Active Directory Sync tool Configuration Wizard, you must provide the credentials for an account with administrator permissions to your Windows Azure AD tenant. These credentials must be provided in the following format:
-
Someone@example.com
You can provide credentials for any valid administrator account in your tenant, or you may create a special account dedicated to this use.
Important |
|---|
| All Windows Azure Active Directory accounts require that passwords are changed regularly. When you change the password associated with this administrator account, you must run the Windows Azure Active Directory Sync tool Configuration Wizard again and provide the new password. |
When the directory synchronization service runs, it reads from your local Active Directory and writes to Windows Azure AD using the cloud administrator credentials that you provided.
