Issue
FIMSyncService - synchronization service is not running on the remote server.
Impact
FIMSyncService - synchronization service scan cannot be run on the target machine.
Resolution
FIMSyncService - synchronization service should be running on the remote server before starting a scan.
To start the Forefront Identity Manager Synchronization Service use the following procedure
To start the Forefront Identity Manager Synchronization Service
Log on to the server that has the FIM Synchronization Service installed.
Click Start, select Administrative Tools, and then click Services.
In the Services list, select Forefront Identity Manager Synchronization Service.
In the Action menu, click Start.
