Windows Azure AD Rights Management provides two ways to protect content: templates and user defined rights.
Templates are predefined rights to enable users to more easily apply permissions to information rights management (IRM) protected content. The following templates are provided in Microsoft Office 2013.
Company Confidential – When this template is applied to content, consumers of the content are allowed all rights needed to work with and modify the content but are not permitted to copy and print the content.
Company Confidential Read Only – When this template is applied to content, consumers of the content are enabled to only read or view the content but are not permitted to modify the content in any way from its original published form.
|When either of these Rights Management templates is applied to content, only users within your company will be able to open the content.|
User Defined Rights
If a finer level of control is required, users can also apply permission manually by defining their own rights. Users can enter users or groups that will get defined on the policy as well as define specific usage rights on content.
