Remote Web Access in Windows Server 2012 Essentials provides a stream-lined, touch-friendly browser experience for accessing applications and data from virtually anywhere that you have an Internet connection and by using almost any device. To use the Remote Web Access functionality, you must first turn it on by using the Set Up Anywhere Access Wizard, and then set up your router and domain name.

When you configure your server for Remote Web Access, the Set up Anywhere Access Wizard attempts to set up the router. If you change routers or change settings on the router, you must rerun the Set Up Your Router Wizard. For more information, see the following topics:
