The System Overview Workspace
In the Windows Intune™ administrator console, the System Overview workspace provides a central location where you can quickly assess the overall health of the managed devices across your organization. You can view a summary of top alert types, check the system status of several key areas, view summaries of the devices that you are managing, create a new device or user group, or view a report. If an issue occurs, links appear in the affected area to take you directly to the appropriate workspace to investigate and resolve the problem.
In the Top Alert Types area, you can view a summary of the top active alert types, which you can sort by date, category, or severity. You can click links in the Top Alert Types area to go to the Windows Intune Alerts workspace, where you can view more detailed information about an alert or view the complete list of alerts. If you hover over an alert type, the alert type is highlighted and a pencil icon appears. Click the pencil icon to open the Configure Alert Type dialog box, where you can configure settings for this alert type. For more information about configuring alert types, see Configuring Windows Intune Alert Types.
|Alerts can also appear in the Notice Board area to inform you of important service announcements such as an upcoming upgrade, maintenance, or outage. The Notice Board area appears in the System Overview workspace only when there are important service announcements. You can also view these notices by clicking Notices in the navigation pane of the Alerts workspace.|
The System Status area contains status summaries for Endpoint Protection in Windows Intune, Updates in the Windows Intune Administrator Console, Agent Health for managed computers, Windows Intune Policy, and Software Management in the Windows Intune Administrator Console. These summaries let you quickly identify and prioritize issues that require your immediate attention.
You can expand the Computer Summary and Mobile Device Summary areas to view key data about the managed devices in your organization, such as the top operating systems. There are also links that you can click to drill down into the details for a given type of data displayed in the summary area.
The Tasks area enables you to create a new group or to go to the Reports workspace to view a report. The Learn About area includes links to different sources of useful information about and resources for Windows Intune, including the Windows Intune Getting Started Guide.
