Event Name: Farm OU Is Too Large

Event ID: 8117

Symptoms: An OU that is too large could cause performance issues.

Causes: One or more of the following problems might be the cause:

  • The OU is not dedicated to the Office Web Apps Server farm.

  • The OU contains users and computers that are not part of the farm.

  • There are too many users, computers, or both in the OU. This might be because the OU is not dedicated to the Office Web Apps Server farm.

Resolution: Create a new OU that is dedicated to the Office Web Apps Server farm and move the farm users and computers from the old OU into the new one.
