Restarting a Computer Using Windows Intune

With the Windows Intune, you can remotely restart one or more managed computers in your Windows Intune system. After you initiate a remote restart from the Windows Intune administrator console, Windows Intune displays the task status while the task is running, and after it has completed. Additional follow-up or troubleshooting actions are displayed as appropriate.
To initiate a remote task
Open the Windows Intune administrator console.
In the workspace shortcuts pane, click Groups.
In the navigation pane, click All Devices or the appropriate group.
Select a computer, or press and hold Ctrl to select multiple computers.
On the Remote Tasks list on the taskbar, click Remote Tasks, and then click Restart computer.
Review the summary message, and then click Close.
To view the task status, click the Remote Tasks link in the bottom right corner of the page.
The Task Status dialog box appears. This dialog box lists current remote tasks, task status, device name, and any reported errors, and provides a link to troubleshooting information, if appropriate.
To initiate follow-up commands, right-click the task to select one of the actions described in the following table.
Status Explanation Available actions
The administrator has sent the task from the Windows Intune administrator console but it has not yet been delivered to the targeted computer.
The task was successfully delivered to the computer and is running.
The task was completed successfully.
The task did not succeed.
