Monitoring the Status of the Windows Intune Exchange Connector

After you install and configure the Windows Intune Exchange Connector, the Exchange page (under Mobile Device Management) displays mobile device parameters including the date and time of the last successful synchronization. It also displays the name of the computer on which the Exchange Connector is installed, the Exchange server that it is configured to work with, and the status of mobile device management.
Synchronizing mobile devices
After configuring the Exchange connection, Windows Intune automatically performs a full sync.
Full sync imports all attributes of all the mobile devices that belong to users managed by Windows Intune.
Windows Intune automatically runs a full sync every 24 hours.
In addition, Windows Intune runs a quick sync every 2 hours.
Quick sync imports all attributes of the following: new mobile devices, mobile devices for which the Access State changed from blocked, allowed or quarantined, and mobile devices for which the Last Policy Update status was changed.
To perform a quick sync or a full sync on demand, in the Administration workspace, under Mobile Device Management, click Exchange, and then click Run Quick Sync or Run Full Sync under Tasks.
Important Depending on the number of mobile devices connected to your Exchange environment, running a synchronization task might take several hours.
To delete the Exchange connection
On the Exchange page (under Mobile Device Management), click the Delete Connection task.
Deleting this connection will disable mobile device management until a new Exchange connection is configured. Mobile devices will remain in the inventory, but policies and remediation tasks, including wipe and retire, cannot be run on them until the Exchange connection is renewed.
