Stop sharing digital media

Applies To: Windows Server 2012 Essentials

The server administrator can stop sharing digital media that is stored in shared folders on a server running Windows Server 2012 Essentials.

Open the server Dashboard.
On the Dashboard Home page, click Setup, click Set up Media Server, and then click Click to Set up Media Server.
On the Media settings page, you can choose one of the following options:
- Click Turn off to stop sharing all of the files that are stored on the server.
- Click Customize, and then select No for specific folders that you want to stop sharing.
Click Apply or OK to save your changes.
