Project Online
Topic Last Modified: 2013-02-26
Microsoft offers flexible online service or on-premises solutions for project portfolio management (PPM) and for every day work.
Project management features are supported by using the Project desktop application; purchased either as a single download license for Project Professional 2013 or Office 365 customers can buy a monthly subscription license to Project Pro for Office 365.
Work management features are part of SharePoint Online in Office 365 and SharePoint Server 2013. Teams can easily create, assign and update tasks, add a timeline to their site and collaborate from nearly anywhere on nearly any device. The task information can be opened in Project Professional and Project Pro for Office 365 for additional project management rigor and reporting. The team tasks can also be imported into Microsoft’s PPM solutions for more advanced scenarios.
