PrivateKeyEncryptionType Enumeration

The PrivateKeyEncryptionType enumeration contains values that are used to specify the encryption types for a private key associated with a certificate or an asymmetric key.

Assembly:  Microsoft.SqlServer.SqlEnum (in Microsoft.SqlServer.SqlEnum.dll)
public enum PrivateKeyEncryptionType
Member nameDescription
MasterKeyValue = 1. Certificate is encrypted with a master key.
NoKeyValue = 0. Certificate does not have any key.
PasswordValue = 2. Certificate is encrypted with a user password.
ProviderValue = 3.

Certificate is encrypted by the encryption provider.

The PrivateKeyEncryptionType enumeration class is served by the PrivateKeyEncryptionType property of the Certificate class and the AsymmetricKey class.

This namespace, class, or member is supported only in version 2.0 of the Microsoft .NET Framework.
