Language Object

This feature will be removed in a future version of Microsoft SQL Server. Avoid using this feature in new development work, and plan to modify applications that currently use this feature.

The Language object exposes the properties of an installed Microsoft SQL Server language record.

Remarks

SQL Server language record identifiers categorize system messages so that error and status information can be presented as localized text. A language record specifies the format for dates displayed in system messages.

With the Language object, you can:

query language records to determine the format of dates and strings that specify day and month names.
