CheckIdentityValues Method

This feature will be removed in a future version of Microsoft SQL Server. Avoid using this feature in new development work, and plan to modify applications that currently use this feature.

The CheckIdentityValues method verifies the integrity of all identity columns in tables of the referenced database.

Syntax

object.CheckIdentityValues( )

Parts

  • object
    Expression that evaluates to an object in the Applies To list.

Prototype (C/C++)

HRESULT CheckIdentityValues();

Remarks

The CheckIdentityValues method is implemented using the Transact-SQL DBCC CHECKIDENT statement with no optional arguments specified. Restrictions on the default behavior apply. For more information, see DBCC CHECKIDENT (Transact-SQL).
