Virtual Server Name

Use the Virtual Server Name page of the Microsoft SQL Server Installation Wizard to specify the name assigned to your virtual server.

Options

  • Virtual server name
    Enter a unique instance name for your installation. This will be the name used to identify your failover cluster on the network. The virtual SQL Server name must be unique on your network, and must have a name that is different than the host cluster and the cluster nodes.
