A failure occurred while creating the database reference for the project file. Either the project file is corrupted or the database connection failed.

You can try any of the following remedial actions:

• Reestablish the database connection.

• Recover a previous version of the project from source control.

• Check the Microsoft Knowledge Base for any available new information on project file errors with the Visual Database Tools.
