This command is not supported by this provider.

SQL Server 2008

The syntax cannot be validated, though the query may still run correctly. A number of situations can cause this, including:

  • The provider for the current connection may not recognize some of the syntax in the query. For example, not all database management systems recognize the asterisk (*) as correct syntax for a select all statement.

  • There may be a semantic problem. For example if one of the referenced objects can’t be accessed the query cannot be validated.
