The OLE DB provider for SQL Server Compact 3.5. reveals the IDBDataSourceAdmin interface through which you can create and manage databases in SQL Server Compact 3.5. To create a new database, you specify the DBPROP_INIT_DATASOURCE property to specify a name for the database.

For more information, see Creating Databases with OLE DB.

Example

The following example shows how to create an encrypted case-sensitive database by using the OLE DB provider for SQL Server Compact. It also demonstrates how to specify a password. To create a standard database, remove the unnecessary DBPROP structures.

For information about how to specify strong passwords, see Strong Passwords. For more information about case-sensitive databases, see Working with Collations (SQL Server Compact).
