How to: Define or Modify Dimension Metadata Translations

You can modify or remove translations for a dimension by using the Translations tab in Dimension Designer, which is accessed from Business Intelligence Development Studio.

To modify a translation in Business Intelligence Development Studio

  1. Open the dimension that contains the translations that you want to modify, and click the Translations tab.

  2. Click the caption that you want to modify, and then type the new text.

To delete a translation in Business Intelligence Development Studio

  1. Click the column containing the translations that you want to delete, and then click the Delete translation button on the toolbar. Alternatively, you can right-click anywhere in the column, and then click Delete Translation.

  2. In the Delete Objects dialog box, click OK.
