The maintenance plan wizard helps you maintain your Microsoft SQL Server database by creating maintenance plans. Add disaster preparedness tasks such as a Backup Database Task, or routine maintenance tasks such as an Update Database Statistics to the plan. After the maintenance plan is created, you can open the plan from Object Explorer to add additional features such as workflow precedence.

The Starting page is the opening page of the Maintenance Plan Wizard. Displaying this page is optional.
