The following settings are available in the Instrument Articulation area of the DLS Designer Window when the Filter button is selected:

  • Enable Filter

    Select to enable filtering.

  • Initial Fc

    Initial filter cutoff frequency.

  • Resonance

    Intensity of the filter frequency that is emphasized.

  • Mod LFO to Fc

    Effect of the modulation low frequency oscillator on filter cutoff.

  • Mod LFO CC1 to Fc

    Effect of the modulation low frequency oscillator on filter cutoff. The filter is modulated by CC1 (mod wheel) rather than the articulation LFO.

  • Pitch Envelope to Fc

    Effect of the pitch envelope on filter cutoff. You can choose whether or not to affect pitch with this. By default, the pitch amount is set to 0.

  • Key Velocity to Fc

    Effect of key velocity on filter cutoff.

  • Key Number to Fc

    Effect of key number (pitch) of the playing note on filter cutoff.
