Reset the password for a user account

To reset the password for a user account

  1. Open the Windows SBS 2011 Essentials Dashboard.

  2. On the main navigation bar, click Users.

  3. In the list of user accounts, select the user account that you want to reset.

  4. In the <User Account> Tasks pane, click Reset the password. The Reset User Password Wizard appears.

  5. Type a new password for the user account, and then type the password again to confirm.

  6. If you want the user to change the password the next time that they log on to the network, select Require the user to change the password the next time they log on.

  7. Click Change password.

  8. Provide the new password to the user.
