Indicator of cycle time performance

You can view an indication of the performance pace of a work cell. Performance is measured by comparing the actual average cycle time that is calculated for the activity to the minimum and maximum cycle times that are calculated for the activity. The minimum and maximum cycle times are calculated based on the takt time that the version of the production flow requires and on the ratios for cycle time of the activity relations.

Colors are used to enhance the usability of the performance indicator. The black bar indicates the actual cycle time of the activity.

  • On takt – When the black bar is located in the green shaded area of the indicator, the actual cycle time is on pace, based on the minimum and maximum takt times that are defined.

  • Speed up – When the black bar is located in the red shaded area to the right of the indicator, the actual cycle time is equal to or more than the maximum takt time that is defined. Therefore, the pace of the work cell is slower than the criteria that are defined.

  • Slow down – When the black bar is located in the red shaded area to the left of the indicator, the actual cycle time is equal to or less than the minimum takt time that is defined. Therefore, the pace of the work cell is faster than the criteria that are defined.

Note

The performance indicator is active only for work cells that process a single activity for a single production flow.

Messages

By contrast, the Kanban quantity overview - material FastTab displays the jobs that supply the material that is consumed by the work cell. The information in the overview is organized and displayed as follows:
