Hardware Requirements
The following are the minimum and recommended hardware requirements for System Center Capacity Planner 2007:
- Intel Pentium or compatible 1 GHz or faster processor
- 512 MB of RAM
- 30 MB of available disk space on the drive in which you install System Center Capacity Planner 2007
- CD-ROM drive
- XGA graphics adapter and monitor
Note: Only 16-bit color or higher is supported. Only 96 DPI is supported.

System Center Capacity Planner 2007 is supported on the following operating systems:
- Windows Vista Ultimate (x32 and x64 editions)
- Windows Vista Ultimate with Service Pack 1 Release Candidate (x32 and x64 editions)
- Windows Vista Enterprise (x32 and x64 editions)
- Vista Enterprise with Service Pack 1 Release Candidate (x32 and x64 editions)
- Windows Vista Business (x32 and x64 editions)
- Windows Vista Business with Service Pack 1 Release Candidate (x32 and x64 editions)
- Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 (x32 and x64 editions)
- Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition with Service Pack 2 (x32 and x64 editions)
- Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition with Service Pack 2 (x32 and x64 editions)
- Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition (x32 and x64 editions)
- Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition (x32 and x64 editions)
- Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition (x32 and x64 editions)
- Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Edition (x32 and x64 editions)
Note: All localized versions of the operating systems listed are supported except right-to-left language versions.
Other Software Requirements
System Center Capacity Planner 2007 requires the following software:
- Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 version. You can download Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 from the Microsoft Download Center (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=56407).
- Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) version 2.6 or later. This is a requirement for the .NET Framework Data Provider for OLE DB used by Capacity Planner 2007. Download MDAC.
