SMS 2003 Transitions to Extended Support
I decided to take a short walk around the halls in our building recently after everyone's return from the holidays and see what was going on. Jeff happened to be in his office and told me some interesting news for those out there who are currently running Systems Management Server 2003: the mainstream support life for the product has run out!
But all is not lost, Jeff informs us: SMS 2003 moves into extended support, and Microsoft is putting together a wealth of resources available on a new portal (which can be easily found by referring to the old site at http://www.microsoft.com/smserver) to help our customers make the transition off of SMS and into the future via Configuration Manager.
See what Jeff has to say on what the SMS mainstream support transition means and what opportunities this presents to businesses looking to upgrade their systems management capabilities.
