Administration Accounts in System Center Essentials 2010

Applies To: System Center Essentials 2010

Managing computers using System Center Essentials 2010 can be a much simpler task if one account has administrative credentials on the Essentials management server and on all the managed computers. Essentials 2010 supports using a single account to gather operational data and to perform tasks such as installing agents on managed computers. You can specify the credentials that you must use for the administration account when configuring Essentials for the first time.

Note

The administration account must be an account in the same Active Directory forest as the Essentials management server.
