Configuration Manager includes a wide range of reports that help you to install, manage, and troubleshoot devices in your organization. Configuration Manager also includes client status, which monitors and remediates the health of the client.

You can use a number of methods in Configuration Manager to inventory hardware and software in your organization. Use hardware inventory for detailed information about the hardware of client computers and mobile devices that are enrolled by Configuration Manager. Remotely administer client computers
Use remote control in Configuration Manager to remotely administer, provide assistance, or view any client computer in the hierarchy. You can use remote control to troubleshoot hardware and software configuration problems on client computers and to provide help desk support when access to the user’s computer is required.

Client settings allow you to configure different management settings for groups of computers in your organization. For example, you could configure remote control to be available only on a group of computers that you specify.
