Today, Microsoft announced the worldwide availability of Microsoft Office 2010 and Microsoft SharePoint 2010, as well as Microsoft Visio 2010 and Microsoft Project 2010. There is also a primary resource for IT Pros. If you would like to find the latest information to learn about and prepare to deploy Office 2010 and SharePoint 2010, go to the business productivity portal here: http://www.microsoft.com/click/businessproductivity/it_leadership/ .

The set of products have productivity benefits for users in working across the PC, phone and browser. Features include co-authoring in Word, PowerPoint and OneNote, e-mail management and calendaring enhancements in Outlook, and the ability to bring communication history and social network feeds into Outlook. The products also allow users to work virtually nearly anywhere with Microsoft Office Web Apps. These are online companions to Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel and OneNote. With Office Mobile, people can work with Office documents on their phone, attached to an e-mail, and can access documents on a SharePoint 2010 site.

SharePoint 2010 features include a new, streamlined Central Administration Web site, new capabilities to manage and monitor the SharePoint farm, and Microsoft Windows PowerShell support.
