Microsoft IT improved the user experience and increased productivity by streamlining the migration from previous Windows operating systems to Windows 8 Beta. The solution leveraged a polished Metro UI featuring Windows 8 client/server technologies, USMT 5.0, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, SQL Server; and leveraged externally available resources to streamline the experience for users upgrading to Windows 8 Beta. The effect by providing this solution to employees resulted in high satisfaction scores and increased productivity based upon employee feedback.
