Microsoft Virtual Academy: Overview of System Center 2012 SP1
In this module you will learn how System Center 2012 Service Pack 1 (SP1) has been enhanced to support Windows Server 2012 and SQL Server 2012 through the infrastructure, services and application layers. SP1 supports larger hosts, clusters and virtual machines, and you will see other virtualization enhancements, including live storage migration, simultaneous live migrations, broader Server App-V compatibility, and support for Linux, Unix, CentOS, Debian & Ubuntu in the guest OS. You will also learn about networking improvements, such as isolated tenant networks, IP virtualization, managing switch extensions, and logical switches. Storage advances include support for SMB 3.0 and NAS, backup enhancements, and the ability to backup to Windows Azure. Other features discussed include Global Service Monitoring (GSM) for websites, developer integration with Team Foundation Server 2012 (TFS) and Visual Studio 2012, and chargeback features.
