About Tim

Tim Vander Kooi has worked in the Information Technology industry for 15 years. His experience is primarily with small and midsized businesses, building Microsoft-centric network infrastructures working in both IT Professional and IT Manager positions. Currently, Tim works for Explorer Pipeline, a Tulsa based fuel transportation company, where he has spent the last five years as their Microsoft Systems Administrator. Tim also shares his real world expertise in many user forums and online community sites being named a Microsoft MVP System Center Operations Manager/System Center Essentials in 2007. Vander Kooi’s passion for IT does not stop there. He has been involved in user-group communities for over 10 years. After relocating to Tulsa, and experiencing the lack of professional community and Microsoft involvement in the area, Vander Kooi started the Tulsa IT Pros user group; where he still serves as President. In addition, Tim is starting his third year serving on the North American Board of the Global IT Community Association (GITCA) where he is currently the Chairman of the Board for NorAm. His vision for the IT Community is one that shares knowledge and real world solutions to help all of IT succeed.

About Harold

Harold studied hard to snag an impressive array of certifications, including MCSE, MCT, CNI, CNE and HP Engineering. He's also delivered "too many events to count," and loves talking to customers about technology, especially when it's connected to deployment and better business impacts. Despite his many technological accomplishments, Harold says his biggest challenge has been raising two children. He's a self-described Type A personality with a dash of perfectionism and a rare even temper – all the better for delivering top-notch events. If he wasn't working in technology, Harold says he'd love to get into the kitchen and start chopping, slicing, dicing and creating gourmet masterpieces as a professional chef.
