DirectAccess with Devrim
DirectAccess provides users the experience of being seamlessly connected to their corporate network any time they have Internet access. If their corporate network supports DirectAccess, the users don't need to connect via their Virtual Private Network in order to access corporate resources. They can work as if they are in their office, no matter where they are.
For IT professionals, DirectAccess provides a more secure and flexible corporate network infrastructure to remotely manage and update user PCs. Using DirectAccess, IT managers can now obtain an “always managed” infrastructure, in which computers both on and off the network can remain healthy, managed, and updated.
Devrim took some time to show me the feature and tell me how to set it up, and suggested that, to do it right, we needed to getoutside the office to demo it properly, so we did.
