From Application to Infrastructure: Automating Deployment and Hyper-V
This screencast demonstrates how close we are to implementing a dynamic datacenter with current, released products. It shows how the SML models generated by Visual Studio can be parsed by Powershell, which then uses the information to deploy virtual machines for the required infrastructure out of a template library. The library and placement are managed by System Center. Powershell is also used to deploy the application modules on the virtual infrastructure and configure them. In summary, you can automate the deployment of an application and its infrastructure without touching a server. Published Date: March 05, 2010 Presented By: Giovanni Marchetti
