Microsoft Assessment and Planning (MAP) Toolkit Demo: Simplify Windows 7 & Internet Explorer migrations with MAP
This demo is the first in a series of three focused on how to plan, securely deploy, and manage your migration to the Windows 7 operating system. In this demo, you’ll learn how you can use the Microsoft Assessment and Planning (MAP) Toolkit 5.5 to streamline and simplify your migration to Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 8 (or later version) browser.
The MAP 5.5 Internet Explorer migration assessment inventories your environment and reports on deployed web browsers, Microsoft ActiveX controls, and add-ons, and then generates a migration assessment report and proposal—information you need to more easily migrate to Windows 7 and Internet Explorer. To view the other two demos in this series—focused on the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) and the Microsoft Security Compliance Manager (SCM)—visit the Learning Resources for Solution Accelerators site. The Microsoft Assessment and Planning Toolkit, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, and Security Compliance Manager—all brought to you by the Solution Accelerators team—provide tested guidance and automated tools to help you plan, securely deploy, and manage new Microsoft technologies—easier, faster, and at less cost. All are freely available, and fully-supported by Microsoft. Learn more. Want to learn more about MAP? Want the latest updates and tools from Solution Accelerators, in 140 characters or less?
