Microsoft Assessment and Planning (MAP) Toolkit Demo: Simplify Windows 7 & Internet Explorer migrations with MAP

This demo is the first in a series of three focused on how to plan, securely deploy, and manage your migration to the Windows 7 operating system. In this demo, you’ll learn how you can use the Microsoft Assessment and Planning (MAP) Toolkit 5.5 to streamline and simplify your migration to Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 8 (or later version) browser.

The demonstration focuses on a Windows 7 migration scenario in which an organization needs help planning a readiness assessment for the migration of PCs with varying hardware configurations, running different versions of Windows and web browsers. It will walk you through the assessment process, illustrating how you can quickly, easily, and accurately prepare for a Windows 7 migration, including the readiness for Internet Explorer using the MAP Toolkit.

The MAP 5.5 Internet Explorer migration assessment inventories your environment and reports on deployed web browsers, Microsoft ActiveX controls, and add-ons, and then generates a migration assessment report and proposal—information you need to more easily migrate to Windows 7 and Internet Explorer.
